Our Athletic Program

Seton Catholic School offers competitive athletic programs for students in grades 5–8. Our coaches emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth alongside athletic skill development. All student-athletes are expected to maintain good academic standing and demonstrate Christian character.

Volleyball program

Fall Season

Volleyball

Our volleyball program is open to girls in grades 5–8. Teams compete in the Dubuque Archdiocesan Athletic Association (DAAA) league with regular season games and end-of-season tournament play.

Basketball is offered for both boys and girls in grades 5–8. Teams compete in the DAAA league with games held at various schools throughout the area.

Important Information

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a registered student at Seton Catholic School
  • Current physical exam on file (within the last 13 months)
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA with no failing grades
  • All required forms submitted before first practice
  • Athletic fee of $50 per sport per student

Practice & Game Expectations

  • Attend all practices unless excused in advance
  • Be on time and dressed appropriately
  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times
  • Respect coaches, referees, opponents, and teammates
  • Transportation from away games is parent responsibility

Uniform Information

Game uniforms are provided by the school. Athletes are responsible for the care of their uniforms and must return them at the end of the season. A replacement fee may be charged for lost or damaged uniforms.

Inclement Weather

In the event of school cancellation due to weather, all practices and games are also cancelled. Schedule changes will be communicated via the school’s notification system and team parent contacts.

Parental Support

Our athletic programs depend on parent involvement. Here are some ways you can help:

Volunteer

Help with scorekeeping, concessions, setup, and cleanup at home games.

Attend Games

Show your support by cheering on our Knights at home and away games!

Encourage

Support positive attitudes, effort, and sportsmanship both on and off the court.
